When Will Super Mario Run Come to Android

Super Mario Run, Nintendo’s latest move into the world of mobile apps, can be called a big success for the company. Already, the app has been downloaded a staggering 90 million times just from Apple’s App Store. That’s pretty impressive when you think about it. However, the game has yet to come to the Android platform, and there are many Android users waiting for the release of the game. But when will that come?

Unfortunately, as of this writing, we have no idea exactly when it will be coming to the Android platform. However, the game is now up on the Google Play Store. Android users can pre-register for the game so they will get a notification when the game is ready to go live on the store. So what does this mean? It means that the game probably will arrive on Android soon, although we still don’t have an exact date of when it will drop. Most insiders expect the release to come sooner rather than later, but no one knows for sure. However, you can assume it probably won’t be too much longer since the app pre-registration is now available on the Google Play Store.

While the game itself has received favorable reviews, it hasn’t been all sunshine and roses for Nintendo. The gameplay has been generally praised by reviewers, but many have complained at the high price of the full version of the game. The game itself offers a few levels for free, but for the full game users must pay $9.99 in the United States. This makes it one of the more expensive games available on the App Store, and many users have balked at purchasing the game.

The game has been downloaded 90 million times from the App Store, but only 3% of those downloads have translated into purchases of the full version of the game. Many insiders believe that in order to turn Super Mario Run into a true hit both on the iPhone and Android smartphones, Nintendo must lower the price to make it more attractive to consumers.

Currently, there has been no comment from Nintendo concerning the price so you can expect to remain where it is, at least for now. Once it drops for the Android, if sales don’t go up, then Nintendo may look at lowering the price, but don’t expect any big changes any time soon.

No matter what, Super Mario Run has been a big hit for the company, and there is no doubt when it finally drops on Android that there will be millions of downloads on that platform as well. Now, if we can just get a final date as to when it will release, everyone will be much happier. Let’s just hope we don’t have to wait too long.

Do you plan on playing Super Mario Run on your Android smartphone when it comes out? If so, do you think you will buy the full version of the game? Let me know your thoughts and if you plan on playing in the comments below.
