Pros

  • Sharp display
  • HTC Sense 6 UI
  • Sleek design
  • Powerful processor

Cons

  • Duo camera doesn't work perfectly
  • Exposure and light issues in photos
  • Battery life

Bottom Line

The HTC One M8 offers a sleek design for its low price tag, but the dual camera design doesn't always work properly and struggles with sunlight.

The HTC One M8 is a bestselling 2014 smartphone that received positive reviews for its beautiful aluminum body, a brilliant display, a powerful Quad-Core processor, exceptional speakers, and an effective depth-sensing camera for capturing well-focused images. Its sealed body isn’t water resistant and doesn’t allow the battery to be removed for replacement. According to some reviewers, the camera performs poorer in bright conditions when compared to competitors producing images that aren’t as crisp or sharp’. With cutting edge hardware, excellent craftsmanship and modern software features, HTC One M8 is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-end smartphone.

Elegant style, raw power, and sophisticated features make the HTC One M8 an excellent smartphone choice for anyone but the most exacting photographer.

The HTC One (M8) is a brilliant smartphone with very few flaws. Its main strength is design, but I don't think that's a negative thing as many brands still seem keen to race on specs rather than attracting users when they wander into a shop to a buy something for two years (at a rather high price).

HTC set a very high bar with the HTC One and the HTC One M8 continues that trend. There are one or two things about the camera that need work, but in every other department the HTC One M8 is a modern classic.

The new One looks sharp, performs well, has solid battery life and improves on its predecessor in most categories. It's still at the top of our list, but its slick finish makes it uncomfortable to hold.
