Pros

  • Touch ID
  • Apple eco-system
  • Decent camera
  • Great performance
  • Premium design and build quality

Cons

  • Battery life
  • iTunes
  • 4-inch screen is a bit small
  • Limited storage
  • No AC WiFi

Bottom Line

The Apple iPhone 5S offers great performance and a decent camera for everyday photos. But the 16GB of storage space is a bit limiting and it has to be used in conjunction with iTunes.

The iPhone 5S is a bestselling 2013 smartphone that received positive reviews for its sturdy build, light and comfortable form factor, excellent performance, great camera and a perfectly working Touch ID feature. However,, the 4-inch screen could be too small for some, its higher storage models are very expensive, the fingerprint sensor is compatible with only Appleā€™s apps, and the battery life is quite limited. If you are looking to replace your old iPhone or switch from Android, the 5S has the speed, graphics and camera to outclass some of the best smartphones in the market with one of the best app ecosystems available.

The iPhone 5S is not a required upgrade, but it's easily the fastest and most advanced Apple smartphone to date.

The best iPhone yet, featuring a great camera and the TouchID fingerprint sensor. The high price will put many off, but you'll find a lot of joy in this phone whether you're an iPhone fan or if you've been sitting on the fence. It's more than just an iterative update

If you're a convert to the plethora of phones with big screens on the market you may initially struggle to go back to the 4-inch display of the iPhone 5S, excellent though it is. That doesn't mean you shouldn't try, though. The iPhone 5S is more of a phone than some of the Android behemoths that straddle the realm of tablets, and it's a pleasure to use day-to-day.
