Five Reasons to Choose an iPhone

five-reasons-to-choose-an-iphone

I realized I have spent a little too much time pushing Android. So much so that many of you may think that have no love for Apple’s iPhone. However, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. In reality, I think that the iPhone is one of the best smartphones on the market. While it doesn’t do everything I want it to do, it is still a great smartphone. In fact, everyone in my family uses an iPhone. That includes my wife, kids, sister, brother and even my parents. They all went with the iPhone based on a recommendation from me. As you can see, I am still a fan of the iPhone.

Today, I decided I should take a few minutes of your time to dive into why an iPhone is a great choice for your next smartphone. The fact is for many of you out there an iPhone could be the best choice you could make with a smartphone. Sure, it doesn’t do everything I need a phone to do, but I consider myself a special case with unique needs. But enough of me going on and on, let’s take a look at five great reasons to choose an iPhone so you can see why you should be considering the Apple device for your next smartphone.

1. It’s Easy, Reliable and Secure

I decided to group these three into one, instead of breaking them up mainly because they go hand in hand. Let’s look at each one individually so you can see what I mean.

First, iOS is the easiest mobile operating system to use. With just a few swipes you can find what you are looking for and it is perfect for any smartphone novice to pick up and use within minutes of opening it. If you are looking for something that is easy to use that won’t require a degree in computers, then look no further than an iPhone. I guarantee you will be able to use it in minutes even if you have never touched one before.

Second, let’s take a look at reliability. You don’t want a phone that you have to restart over and over again. Apple’s iOS has been made not only to be easy to use, but to be reliable as well. It is rare to ever have to reboot your phone because it locks up or crashes. Even if you have an app that misbehaves, you will find that it won’t impact your overall performance and you can restart that one app and keep moving.

Lastly, you need something that is secure. Apple has made iOS to be one of the most secure operating systems in the world. It’s built in security features will help you keep your data safe even if your phone is lost and stolen. Malware is on the rise for smartphones, but Android has been the main focus here. There are very few pieces of malware out there for iOS and Apple regularly updates iOS to put a stop to any threats it does find.

2. Great App Selection

It is true that the Google Play Store is the largest app store around these days, but quantity does not always translate into quality. Apple really started the app store craze with the release of the first iPhone, and today the store is filled with millions of apps ready for you to download and enjoy.

Of course, the best part of Apple’s store is the quality of the apps you will find. The Google Play Store is filled with apps that are, frankly, junk. Sorting through all these bad apps and good apps can be a real pain and take away your valuable time. Apple employs strict quality control over the apps that get released.

Every single app that you find on Apple’s App Store has been checked for quality by Apple and certified as worthy of their store. Now, that doesn’t mean you won’t find apps you hate, but you will have a much easier time finding high quality apps that you can enjoy on your iPhone.

3. Seamless Integration with Apple Products

Do you have a Mac or maybe Apple TV? If so, did you know that you can use your iPhone with them to create a seamless experience that just works. For example, you can unify your messaging on your Mac and iPhone to send and receive messages on your Mac and then pick up right where you left off on your iPhone. Your iPhone can even be used as a handy remote for Apple TV and even your Mac as well. With your iPhone, you can sync your music and movies using iTunes so you can watch and listen on your iPhone, your Mac or even on Apple TV.

If you are seeking a truly seamless experience between all your different devices, and you prefer to use Apple products like a Macbook or Apple TV, then an iPhone just makes sense. Trust me, you will love the seamless integration that you will receive by using an iPhone.

4. Apple Support

If you ever do have a problem with your iPhone, you can bet that Apple will help you the best they can. If it is covered under warranty, you won’t have to pay a dime to get it fixed. If not, in many cases they will work with you so you are not out the full price of a new phone. This does mean taking a trip to the closest Apple Store, but in the end it is very much worth it.

If you aren’t having a problem that requires a replacement, you can find tons of info on Apple’s support sites to help you learn how to do new things on your iPhone or fix common problems you may run into while using it. While problems are few and far between, they do happen. But having all these resources at your fingertips makes it much easier to figure out the problem yourself so you don’t have to take it in for help when it’s not really necessary.

5. Amazing Design

I know, you may not think this one is as important as the others, and perhaps it’s not. That doesn’t mean that it doesn’t deserve a place on this list. Think about it. We all like our phones not only to work well but they have to look great, too. If there is one thing that Apple does better than every other tech company out there, it is in the design.

The iPhone simply looks amazing. It is designed with some of the best components and Apple puts their gift for style to good use with the design of every iPhone. You will enjoy just holding it in your hand and swiping across the screen. Turn it over and you can see that Apple has earned their reputation for style.

While I still recommend you put it in a case, you can’t deny that Apple has cornered the market on overall style. After all, there is a reason they make clear cases. Grab one of those and you can easily show off your iPhone to everyone.

Conclusion

The iPhone is one of the best smartphones in the world. They are beautifully designed, easy to use, and provide some of the best apps and integration features across a variety of devices. Android may be the industry leader, but remember it was Apple that started it all. Over the years, they have learned a thing or two and today provide one of the best user experiences in the business.

For anyone looking at buying a new smartphone, an iPhone should automatically make it to their short list. With its design and features, there really is no reason why it shouldn’t be. If you do decide to buy an iPhone, I believe you will be glad you did. Overall, it gives you one of the best experiences in the market and is perfect for both experienced and novice users.
